Ladbrook Park Bear Open – Sunday 12th July 2026 - Results:
Sunday 12th July saw the annual Men's Bear Open take place at Ladbrook Park Golf Club, with competitors facing a demanding 36-hole challenge in testing summer conditions.
Whilst the sunshine was welcome, the combination of high temperatures and unusually strong winds throughout the day made scoring difficult. The firm course and strong winds provided a stern examination of golf, rewarding patience, precision and consistency over both rounds.
A huge thank you goes to the Club Office for their excellent organisation of the event, together with the Competitions Committee for ensuring another successful championship. Special recognition must also go to the Greens Team, who presented the golf course in magnificent condition. The greens were outstanding throughout the day, running fast and true despite the challenging weather.
Thanks are also extended to the Bar and Catering team for keeping everyone well looked after with breakfast, lunch and welcome refreshments as the day drew to a close.
Thanks also to the Pro Shop team of Ryan and Chris for processing the registration, cards and scoring throughout the day.
From a Club perspective, it was particularly pleasing to see such a strong entry from visiting golfers this year, helping to make the event another great success. Even more satisfying was the fact that both major trophies remained at home, with Ladbrook members claiming victory in both competitions.
